The Hiboy DM14 is built for riders aged 8 to 14, between 4’5″ and 5’6″, and the single most useful thing about it is the three-level speed limiter. Parents set the bike to 8 MPH for a first-timer, 15 MPH once they find their balance, and the full 20 MPH when they’ve earned it — so one bike covers several years of riding instead of being outgrown in a season.

A 750W peak motor pulls a 20% grade, and the 48V 9Ah battery stores 432Wh for up to 38 miles of range, recharging in 6.5 hours. At 58 lbs with a 165 lb payload, it’s light enough for a child to pick up after a tip-over but substantial enough to feel like a real machine rather than a toy.

Front and rear suspension soak up rough ground, mechanical disc brakes at both ends give consistent stopping, and 18 × 2.5-inch pneumatic tires deliver grip on dirt, grass and gravel. A frame guard comes fitted from the factory.
